HAND IN HAND

Faithful, Christ already mourns His people
Of the massacre, the coming war
One although expected not inevitable
Although there have been two of them before

Listen souls, our pain belongs to Him
Which we take on ourselves also to share,
Our sacrificial offering most grim
His grief which we by our free spirits bear

Christ, Your holy pain belongs to us
As ours in Your forgiveness lives in You
Shared with us upon the torture Cross
The evidence that what You teach is true:

That no one who has loved must be alone
But hand in hand is blessed beneath Your throne
