THE POWER

Watching the Tsar of all Russia be crowned
(Music Mussorgsky so turn up the sound)
They beg him to sit on a sanctified throne
Monarch means someone who sits there alone

Glories in privilege, blamed for the faults
Praised for rich spending, expecting assaults
Hungers for power as if at a feast
Anxious to know why the flattery ceased

Lonely, and difficult to understand
The powerful yearning to be in command
When most who are under him highly begrudge
The making of Nobody into their judge

But this is an opera so can it be real?
Lay out the power for someone to steal
