DON’T STING ME

Hummingbird and feeding spot
When clouds are heavy bees feed not
Maybe yellowjackets need
The warmth of the autumn sun to feed

But now the bird feeds there alone
No bees to form a danger zone
So the bird sips peacefully
Can nourish without sting of bee

Observe some human beings, thus:
Their love of war notorious
Because of profits from the fight
In others’ bloodshed they delight

Hiding hypocritically
Within where no one else can see
Enjoyment of the money made
As they applaud the last parade

Go on you bees and sting strongly
(They wish) but kindly don’t sting me
